Extra Extra Extra.... Try It Make It Workshops

It seems that you lot can’t get enough of our Monday Morning Try It Workshops, our weekly “come and  have a play” courses that enable you to learn about new art materials or processes while having fun.  Just £7.50 for each 2 hour session (materials ARE included) means you can pick and chose which ones to attend. 

Places are limited to 12 students and they become Fully Booked on a regular basis so be quick!

If you have missed out on booking a morning session, don’t worry, where possible we try to run an afternoon event on the same day.  At the moment we have made a pm workshop for the following:

Metal Effects Panel – 6^th Feb 2012 - 1:30pm
Layers of cocoon Strippings – 13^th Feb 2012 - 1:30pm

We are always happy to take suggestions of what techniques you would like to do, which materials you aren’t sure how to use or what effects you want to learn how to achieve. So get in touch and we can try and programme them in!

Closing date Friday 14 Oct 2011 Artist Opportunity COMPETITION
WHO: Artists and groups submitting an exhibition proposal to win the main exhibition space for two week show
WHAT: 2D or 3D bodies of work which will fill out Main Gallery space.
WHEN: 10 Jan – 22 Jan 2012 artists to set up on Monday 9 Jan.
Please send an outline of your proposed exhibition idea, including images (of your current or most relevant works) and names of all artists involved to: Tracey Holt Walkden, Exhibition Coordinator at : info@thebeetroottree.com before Fri 14 Oct 2011.
Alternatively send a letter by post (with SAE if you want images returning): FAO Tracey Holt Walkden, Exhibitions Coordinator, The Beetroot Tree Gallery, South Street, Draycott, Derbyshire DE72 3PP.

The exhibition will need setting up on Mon 9 Jan 2012 and will be taken down at 5pm on Sun 22 Jan 2012. If we don’t contact you before end Oct 2011 please assume you have not been successful on this occasion. Although there is no hire charge for the exhibition, the Gallery will take a commission of 50% on any works sold.

Everything from paintings and sculpture to jewellery and bags and all are designed and made by hand. All are selected by Tracey to give you the best of the best and we know you love them as much as we do, just look at the comments you leave. 

With changing Main Gallery exhibitions, Featured Artist slots as well as our Long Term displays of original artwork there really is always something for everyone.
